Up until recently I had used mainly Nebelwerfers and 15 cm artillery for my Waffen SS Panzergrenadierkompanie. Lately I've been moving through my desk painting boxes that have been sitting around for a long time.
This being the oldest, nearly two years! Bought for my 22nd birthday by my mother. This box set GBX13 comes with 4 guns, 4 resin artillery bases, gun crews, a few vehicles and a resin staff team. Outside of the kubel wagons, 4 guns, and the resin staff team I had little use for the box. The crews were badly cast, and the bases weren't well cast. I opted to continue these in the SS in Arnhem vein, and using spare Waffen SS artillery crews I came up with these great looking guns.
I opted for minimal weathering, and a new base coat of Tamiya Buff with a MIG Tri-color camo filter really made these guns look fantastic!.JPG)

Do you use a type of "Green Stuff" putty to make the bricks and furniture on the bases?
ReplyDeleteNo I tend to avoid green stuff, just too rough for me to work with.
